The Parade
This piece is part of Ting Yuen's Artist Diary series.
This painting is a gift from me to my best friend and husband Paul. The parade is about life’s adventures. Paul and I love exploring the world and some of our adventures may have risks but they are often calculated. In this painting, I painted a girl sitting on an elephant driving the parade conscientiously. Since it is common knowledge that elephants are afraid of mice, she brought with her a couple of cats just in case. Sure enough the cats did meet up with a mouse and thanks to them the parade continued on to it’s destination safely.
