Swinging on a Star II
This Piece is part of Ting Yuen's Artist Diary Series.
This is about my love for adventures and traveling. This particular piece was inspired by a cross country ski trip that my husband, Paul did.. He was skiing part of the Bowron Lake chain, when he reached the swan lake, he was surprised to see eight swans sitting on a small patch of melted ice and as he approached them closer, the swans got out of their swimming hole and flew away. That day, Paul came home with some amazing pictures of these lovely swans, one of these pictures the swans were in flight. I was in awe with the beauty of his experience and wished that I was there to witness it with him, hence I painted Swinging on a Star. It’s moment like this that makes me feel like a child swinging on a star so that I can the see the world from above and from a different perspective.
