Last Train
This painting is part of Ting Yuen’s Landscape Series.
This is one of my favourite places in the East Kootenays: The Columbia Valley Wetlands. It is a place of serenity
and peace and it is also internationally regarded as one of the largest intact wetlands remaining in North America. The wetlands wind through pristine waters and channels, housing many different species of birds and wildlife.
The beauty of the Columbia Valley is also complimented by the Rocky mountains and ever so often you can hear the churning of the train passing by just to remind us that both nature and industry can co-exist together in unity.
