From My Studio Window
This painting is part of Ting Yuen’s Landscape Series.
I have had many studios in my career as an artist. I loved each and everyone of them. Some were small, some were makeshift for the painting season and even a few were in the kitchen. For me, it really doesn’t matter as long as there is a space for my easel and paint, I can create. This particular studio was a funny space, as the studio floor was very warped so setting up the easel was quite a feat I had to keep it level by balancing it with assorted wood blocks and such….but it did have a very nice view of the suburb, cute little roof tops and a windy road, I thought it made a perfect painting.
